In the last tutorial, we use the PROPER formula to capitalize the first letter in Excel. But how to change uppercase to lowercase?—that’s the Lower formula.
Let’s take the same table as an example, and change the case into the yellow cells.
Now, we type LOWER() in cell I1 and press Enter key. Then hit Ok.
After you hit Ok, click on cell E1. A blue box will appear, and press Enter key.
This LOWER formula converts the word in cell E1 from uppercase to lowercase in cell I1.
When the cursor becomes a black solid plus in the lower right corner of cell E1, click and fill down.
That’s the end of the tutorial, now you can change text cases in Excel according to your needs.
